The Stand with Estela Casas Cancer Foundation 5k

Vantage Bank was a proud supporter of "The Stand with Estela Casas Cancer Foundation 5k"." The foundation has found a fun way to raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer in the Borderland. Estela Casas, known for her compassionate storytelling and unwavering dedication to her community, was diagnosed with cancer and embarked on a personal journey that inspired and touched the hearts of many. Throughout her treatment, Estela experienced firsthand the challenges faced by cancer patients and their families, and she recognized the urgent need for support, resources, and hope in the face of this disease.

Driven by her personal experience, Estela Casas, together with a group of dedicated individuals, decided to establish the Stand with Estela Casas Cancer Foundation. Their shared vision was to create an organization that would provide comprehensive support to cancer patients and their families, addressing not only their medical needs but also their emotional, financial, and educational requirements.

The foundation hosted its 2nd Annual Stand With Estela Casas 5K starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Ascarate Park, 6900 Delta Dr.
The event featured a competitive 5K, a non-competitive 1-mile fun walk and children under 9 can participate in the Kids’ Dash.

All money raised stays in the El Paso community to provide lifesaving resources and services to families in need to prevent, treat, and recover from cancer.
